Travel | Edmonton Devonian Botanic Gardens

The University of Alberta Botanic Gardens (formerly the Devonian Botanic Gardens) had a delayed start this year with our late Edmonton spring. We visited on their second weekend for our 1 year anniversary day date.   While everything was not yet in full bloom,  it was such a lovely place to visit. As you stroll down the pathways and through the gardens it’s beautiful and kind of … tranquil! ** There is some construction happening right now so make sure to plan around when they are working!***   It’s absolutely a plant lovers paradise and a fun date activity to do in Edmonton.

The humidity in the Tropical plant and butterfly show house was a huge highlight on a slightly chilly day. While I am irrationally terrified of butterflies, they are really pretty! The U of A Botanic Gardens is a must see once the flowers are all in full bloom. Look out for date night activities at the gardens or just spend a quiet afternoon there. I can’t wait to go back this summer.
